Escape the city and embrace the snow and ice of the mountain. On this one day skills course you will learn:

1. Ice axe technique

2. Crampon usage

3. Roped travel

4. Cravasse rescue sills

The course will begin at 9:00 in the Timberline ski area parking lot.

Each participant will need:

1. Crampon capatible boots and crampons

2. Ice axe, helmet and climbing harness.

3. Clothing suitable for snow travel (warm, multiple layers, no cotton)

4. Sunglasses, sunscreen, water, lunch

5. Backpack that all of the items can fit in.
